COMING SPRING 2016

The Las Vegas Veterans Memorial Foundation is a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization headquartered in Las Vegas, Nevada.  The organization was created by American Shooters, Inc., a veteran-operated business in Las Vegas, specifically to organize and spearhead the effort to construct a veteran’s memorial.  The Foundation is fully committed to creating a timeless monument honoring the heroic service and profound sacrifices of all of the country’s military veterans and their families.

The memorial will serve as a reminder to all that we shall forever honor the heroism and spirit of those who have served and will serve in our nation’s military.  Once constructed the memorial will be located at the Grant Sawyer State Building, just north of downtown Las Vegas.  The memorial will feature 18 larger-than-life statues surrounded by granite memorial walls. The Foundation continues to work in close collaboration with the state of Nevada, local veteran organizations and the broader community to make the memorial a reality.

Foundry workers at The Crucible Foundry in Norman, OK - pour molten aluminum from a “crucible” into a ceramic mold. Aluminum is unique in that it doesn’t change color when melted, it just looks like quicksilver. The use of this material for a fine-art casting will be very unique to this memorial. The workers wear heavy protective gear to protect them from splashing metal. ... See MoreSee Less
